I am the one who likes free stuff, do you? But me and Casey have been making our personal websites with Weebly, Webs, and OfficeLive, but there has been never a website thats free and can let you make your very own website from scratch and the best thing is……wait for it…….flash! Thats right, it uses flash technology to customize your very own website with stunning animations such as a glowing logo when you move your cursor over it and logos that turn shiny when your scroll over it. Wix we have to say is one of the best and most easy website builters we have ever seen. If you are planning on making your very own stunning flash running website. Well then, we would suggest wix.com Check out mine and Casey’s very own personal websites! I will be working on a tutorial on wix.com for people who are sorta new to builting their websites from scratch. But trust me, it’s not typing codes and such. it’s drag and drop and then your done. Are you ready for Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6?

Tomorrow is the big day when Apple releases their next version of Mac OSX. But your wondering, what does it take for my mac to run Snow Leopard? Well I took the liberty of going to the Apple website and got the info for you.

Mac computer with an Intel processor (IA-32 “Yonah” processors such as Core Solo and Core Duo will be limited to 32-bit; later x86-64 architecture processors will be able to operate in 64-bit mode)
1 GB of RAM
5 GB of free disk space
DVD drive (also accessible via Remote Disc) or external USB or FireWire hard disk drive for installation
Snow Leopard does not support PowerPC-based Macs (e.g., Power Macs, PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs (G3-G5), all eMacs, and the G4 Mac mini).

Development of ICE OS

After figuring out that Casey Kemi is currently developing a OS based off openSUSE, I have been questioning him how the OS will look like when it’s released. He told me the OS will use the KDE UI (User Interface) and will contain programs that will seem to be useful for the everyday user such as Gimp, OpenOffice, Google Earth, Google Sketchup (Pending), and other related programs. Last night talking to Casey, we have been discussing how to design the default wallpapers and the official ICE OS logo. I sent him a simple logo via E-mail to see what his opinion on the logo which I think looks pretty good for the OS. The OS is currently in testing and the beta should be available to download sometime soon. The stable version is set to be released to the public sometime around September. By the time, here is a screenshot of Casey’s computer with ICE OS running off a virtual machine, we still gotta take care of the openSUSE logo but he is making progress.

Ipod Touch review coming soon!

Hello everyone! It has been a while since I posted a article on something but I’ve been kinda busy getting ready for school and such, but I did wanted to announce that I will be getting a ipod touch soon. It will be a while for me to get the ipod but not that long I will start working in the later year depending on how much my first paycheck is, if it’s enough for a ipod touch well, I’ve got my self a review for you guys to take a look at. I plan on getting the 8 GB model which is about $229 from the Apple website, about $214 from Wal-Mart and Amazon.com, I am probably most likely gonna get it from Wal-Mart from the “site to store” way, it will be more cheaper, it may take a few days but it’s worth it. So I just wanna say this for now guys, I hope everyone has a great school year and good luck!

Opera Browser review

Casey told me that he is gonna try out Opera and I said “Are you crazy? Opera sucks!” but by the words coming out of him saying that it’s even better then he though it would, I had to take this web browser for a test. And in my oponion, this is one pretty excellent browser, there are so many features on it that your whole web browsing experience is taken to the next level. For instance, I use twitter, and they have small little programs called widgets, so I went to the widget page and found a twitter widget, and it fits perfectly in your browser or just pull it onto your desktop to watch over the tweets sending your way! The UI is kinda bulgy but I believe there are themes you can get to customize your browser and make the UI appear smaller. It runs off the Presto rendering engine so it’s pretty fast with just a hit of the enter button. And there is a feature called tab preview so if your looking at more sites on one browser you can see what website is on there before you click the tab, And also thumbnail views.

Could Apple’s new netbook destroy Microsoft’s rep before release of 7?

There have been rumors of Apple releasing their very own netbook sometime this year or next, but the demand for ultra portable computers have been on the rise since the beginning of the year. It’s like a disease, ever since the release of the Apple iPhone, other companies started manufacturing touch screen phones and now Pc’s manufacturers came up with the idea for the ultra portable computer also known as the netbook. If PC manufacturers are making them, well now Apple is making them and rumors are saying that if this netbook is release before the release of Windows 7, Microsoft may be facing a new challenge for the following year.

“There are some customers which we chose not to serve. We don’t know how to make a $500 computer that’s not a piece of junk, and our DNA will not let us ship that. But we can continue to deliver greater and greater value to those customers that we choose to serve. And there’s a lot of them. We’ve seen great success by focusing on certain segments of the market and not trying to be everything to everybody. So I think you can expect us to stick with that winning strategy and continue to try to add more and more value to those products in those customer bases we choose to serve.”
